“I know we are all on the battle ground, with our defenses up, fighting the battle of life in medical school.
Hopefully we are all crossing a bridge and leaping forward into this new environment, full of new challenges ahead, and triumphs behind.
Take a minute a breathe. Enjoy the environment around you, take each day, one at a time, and cherish your most previous resource; time. This should encourage all of us to be calm, yet mighty, and allow us to breath before the next battle begins.
And one day, maybe we can be at peace with the work we have accomplished, remembering the investment, the sacrifice, and the support we had from those around us. Take a breath before your next challenge and remember, we are in the process of becoming, and that can be painful. In the end, we will become the product of our hard work and investment.” – Harmony Saunders

Hi Mr Martin,
I am super excited for Ecuador. I have visited five countries so far and Ecuador will make it six. Each student on the trip stays with a host family which is going to be great. I stayed with a host family in France for three days on my Europe trip and I loved it. I think you experience the country in a whole different way when you stay with a local from that country. We haven’t been told which research projects we will be working on but I do know we will be assigned to a research team at a university in Ecuador. Also, my friend and I plan to fly to the Galápagos Islands for one weekend and explore a little there. –Jasmine |
